Et c'est au bout du suspense que le VfB Stuttgart a acquis son titre de champion d'Allemagne, quinze ans après le dernier sacre des coéquipiers du français Mathieu Delpierre. Stuttgart s'est imposé 2-1 contre Cottbus.
